Dealer Profile #5 Nuova Contec – Italy
Welcome to the latest in our series of articles in which we profile members of our growing global dealer network. This month it is the turn of Nuova Contec, which is based in Italy.
Nuova Contec has seen strong year-on-year sales growth for Mini-Cam’s products since coming on board in 2012. The company has also been the driving force for some key product developments by Mini-Cam in response to customer demand. These include an adapter that connects a popular camera to an intuitive and advanced Mini-Cam control unit and our reporting software.
Mini-Cam’s relationship with Nuova Contec was forged at the 2012 IFAT-ENTSORGA trade fair in Munich. Nuova Contec’s joint managing directors, brothers Giovanni and Luigi Gabelli, were actively seeking a new camera dealership and visited Mini-Cam’s MD Nigel Wilson at the show to discuss a partnership. Since becoming our Italian dealer, Nuova Contec has made great progress in increasing brand awareness for Mini-Cam’s range of push cameras, crawler systems, accessories and software.
Based in Montereale Valcellina, 100km north-east of Venice, the company has a team of sales staff and trained service engineers who provide support to customers across Italy.
Sven Breitenfeld, Mini-Cam’s international sales manager, says: “It has proved to be an extremely successful partnership. “We have almost doubled our sales in the Italian market every year since the relationship with Nuova Contec began. “The team offers all the service and support that we seek from a strong dealer partnership.”
“And it goes further than that. Nuova Contect has translated our new ProPIPE+ and WinCan Embedded software, and is behind some of our latest product enhancements.
“The company is also a strong supporter of IFAT-ENSTORGA as well as the Ecomondo green technologies expo, which takes place in Rimini and gives Nuova Contec the opportunity to showcase our range of crawler and push camera systems and accessories.”
